Gemini starter motor conversion
Gemini starter motor conversion
Here is a really good write up on moke.com.au on how to fit a pre-engaged gemini starter motor to the A-series.
The advantage of a pre-engaged is that the gear doesn't have to fly out and smack the flywheel ring - also no chance of sticking. It also engages on the opposite, non worn, side of the flywheel ring to the standard mini starter.
Essentially you get a starter from a 75 to 84 RWD Holden Gemini models: TX, TC, TD, TE, TF, TG, eloTo do it you egate the mounting hoes and wire it up. Very cool.
