sure man ill take some pics tomorrow, i think from the top of my head, (hehe) price was around $500? skimmed for flatness, chambers cleaned , fitted for new valves, and K lined? i think that was the brunt of it...

Re: Small bore turbo'd 1967 Moke
....its been THAT long.... shit aye...
So. A lot of the turbo bits have been sitting in a tub in my garage, a lot has changed, moved house, lost bits, got new bits, new job, life goes on etc.
As it stands by coincidence Sanchezs' motor started dropping oil pressure a while back and it finally came to the point that I had to take it out in order to redo crank and mains (2 weeks ago...) Was expecting to just do a regrind on the crank + new bearings + maybe cam etc... that has since turned into as follows:
80+ OB w GR pistons (flat tops)
new 266ss-T cam
crank polish (didn't need a regrind!)
gearbox bearings replacement
dusting off the 206 head, maybe taking a tiny bit off the chambers for CR
New starter motor
Megajolt (managed to get lucky... edis+coilpack+sensors for <$50, computer en route from the U S of A)
New gauges
started plumbing in EFI pump + return lines
Also have begun repainting and de-rusting the body.... what a catalyst aye... it seems I just needed a little push in the right direction for this to happen.
Ben, where do I find maps for the MJ?
Also, im excited.

I can send you a few maps to get you started , megajolt is super easy to use
The problem with tuning is most mini tuners don't want too touch "computerised or turbo minis" they have some sort of fear that it will break ?? I dunno ...
Anyway recently I have used Bligh Part mechanical repairs , he can do dyno tuning and I thought he was very good was more than happy too tune a mini for me.
MRC castle hill is pretty good too but I found it hard to organise with them as he wanted Greig Malure to tune , maybe there is someone close to you?

Re: Small bore turbo'd 1967 Moke
a fun few months of slow motion action...
So have gotten the engine back, currently sitting in the front subframe out of car.
Managed to find an excel coil pack for 20 bucks, fits much nicer than the ford one.
Dump pipe was super dooper simple. literally 2 bends (a 120 degree cut to 105ish, and an 80 degree) Cut accordingly, line up, mark them up and get them TIG zapped together, all in all $50.
Just have to finish my wiring of MJ+ gauges, and finish fuelling.
Managed to fully respray my tub with Ute liner which feels tough and doesn't really mark up at all which is cool, new suede sparco style steering wheel, all the gauges with hopefully a wideband on its merry way.
Have a few blocks of 4-5 days off coming up, so hopefully making sick choo choo noises mid Jan

probably in car now... will fire it up in the first couple of weeks of the new year, maybe go for a sneaky spin on basic map before heading to somewhere/someone to tune... suggestions?

Re: Small bore turbo'd 1967 Moke
Has been a fun couple of months of trial and error.
As it stands: Motor turns on and runs (albeit a little rough). Had an issue with wiring, then an issue with water and oil, now an issue with exhaust route, etc etc etc
Its not upsetting me, just annoying me a little
Just looking forward to the day that its all pretty and perfect and driving along scaring the shit out of me.
